摘要

Lithium bromide aqueous solutions used as absorbent in refrigeration machines canrncause serious corrosion problems. The objective of this work was to study the effectrnof temperature on the corrosion resistance and pitting behaviour of Alloy 31 (UNSrnN08031), a highly-alloyed austenitic stainless steel, in a highly concentrated LiBrrnsolution by means of electrochemical techniques. The material was tested in arncommercial 850 g/l LiBr solution with chromate as inhibitor. The cyclicrnpotentiodynamic polarisation curves were carried out at 25 ℃, 50 ℃ , 75℃ and 100rn℃.
