To continue to grow the application areas for PM increased performance combined withrnincreased cost effectiveness will be required. Chromium is an alloying element that has therncapability to offer increased material performance and historically has been less susceptible tornfluctuations in cost. In this paper mechanical properties achievable with two different chromiumrnsteels will be described. Static and dynamic properties obtained with these two materials afterrndifferent processing will be discussed.
