The behavior of different eccentrically braced frames with short links

摘要

The paper is intended to illustrate some features of different bracing systems used for eccentrically braced frames located in seismic areas. Non-linear static and non-linear dynamic analysis was performed for each of the different braced frames. The maximal values for the displacements, the base shear force, the plastic hinge rotations, the bending moments and axial forces in different structural elements were compared. The history of the formation of plastic hinges was observed.
