摘要

Different methods of requirements capture are needed to encapsulate the range of issues presented within a complex system of systems. This paper discusses the range of different methods being used to elicit and define the Human Factors (HF) System Requirements (SRs) for the Future Rapid Effect System (FRES) contract, as well as providing a summary of the key lessons learnt from the SR development process. Methodologies adopted encompass traditional methods as well as User Centred Scenario based workshops, task analysis and the adoption of the Ministry of Defence's Architectural Framework (MODAF). This approach has proved to be effective within FRES and could be an appropriate method to adopt within other defence and civilian system requirements development processes.
