The scope of this study is to assess the potential impacts of disposed ash from Seyitomer coalfired power plant which is located in the province of Kutahya, Turkey. For this purpose a computer based model, Industrial Source Complex-Short Term (ISCST), is used to predict the disperison patterns of the fugitive dust from ash disposal area of the power plant. As a result of this study, the deposition and ground-level concentrations (GLC) of suspended particulate matter (SPM) from the dump area were estimated and the results were compared with the standards stated in Turkish Preservation of Air Quality Regulation. In this reard, the impacts of fugitive dust from the ash dump area are assessed and necessary precautions are proposed.
