Treatment of industrial waste water containing various chemical matters

Today, large amount of industrial wastes with different chemical content, in acidic or basic character, has been disposed. According to the type of industry, waste water contains water and different valuable elements. In this research, it was aimed to adsorb or gain these elements from industrial waste water by using various natural adsorbents such as kaolinite, coal slag, zeolite, perlite, diatomite. During the research a specially designed spiral mixer was used to provide a good contact between the adsorbent and the waste water which eventually increases the removal of the chemical contaminants from the waste water. U-Colmn and Mixing methods were also employed. The treatment process continued until the desired water quality was achieved.
