Selective Flocculation experiments were conducted on Seyitomer thermic power plant's fuel, lignite using polystyrene latex, produced in the laboratory by emulsion polymerisation. Sample, taken from power plant boiler, was sieved into different size fractions and -0.063 mm fraction were used in the experiments. Studies were carried out by varying the polymer and dispersant dosage, solids concentration, pulp pH, and the conditioning times of dispersant and flocculant. At optimum conditions a clean lignite product was obtained, assaying 24.77
