This paper presents the results of a field investigation performed in developing and using fluidized bed combustion spent bed and pulverized coal combustion class F fly ash concretes for pavement construction. Various base and surface slabs were studied for nearly three years for both short and long-term performance. On the whole, the test results for the selected PCC/FBC concrete slabs are satisfactory and these sources of secondary materials can be used as a high-performance base coures (or a base/subbase course) for both high-volume primary highways and secondary/county roads.
