摘要

A new energy model for low cycle fatigue life prediction has been proposed in this paper. It assumes that most of the energy that materials absorb is dissipated by heat energy and just a little portion of it leads to fatigue damage. By low cycle fatigue experiments of 316L steel under stress control at elevated temperature, the predicted results have been compared with the experimental data. A good agreement is noted between the predicted and experimental results.
