In this paper SSRT tests were conducted on 16MnR steel and its welded joint in nitrate environment that simulates the fluid condition of catalytic regenerator and the value of KISCC and plateau value of da/dt of 16MnR and weld metal under the simulated condition were measured using WOL specimens, and suggestions about cracking prevention were proposed based on the discussion about test phenomena and cracking mechanism.
