Effects of pretension on fatigue life of bolt

摘要

This paper adopts contacting finite element method to perform stress and strain analysis on bolt joint structure. The curve of pretension stress-life (σ_p - N) was obtained. By the means of curve between load and deformation, the shape of σ_p - N curve was analyzed. The results showed that the analysis by finite element was coincident with analytical solution.
