Systems approach in designing for women

摘要

Design re-use can be a powerful engineering design tool. Like any other tool it has to be used properly for efficient results. In many recent engineering design projbects for women mistakes hae been made in various design stages. SOme of these mistakes are based upon design re-use without systems thinking. Today's soophisticated multi-disciplinary all interacting engineering designs require `systems approach' which is based on that every system has its subsystems, environmet and interactions. In this paper the systems approach are explained and the s uccessful and unsuccessfuly design re-use examples of design for women are analysed to reveal the importance of the systems approach in design re-use.
