Technology is and always has been nothing more than thernapplication of the human mind to the task of finding a new orrnbetter way. The development and application of a wide arrayrnof sophisticated technologies will be the hallmarks of thernsuccessful of many companies in future decades.rnThe industry is using now multidisciplinary technologyrnsuch as 3D and 4D seismic, high propped hydraulic fracturing,rntubingless well designs, multiple completions, high resolutionsrnlogging tools, reservoir numerical simulation, expert systems,rnand optimized multiple perforating systems for hard rock, etc.rnJust in Mexico North Region wells, the tubinglessrncompletion integers advanced stimulation practices withrnreservoir analysis to improve production results from lowrnpermeability formations. Stimulation procedures still dependrnon the well completion method utilized.rnPropellants use incorporates better results on earlyrnproduction of the treated wells and improve the benefits beforernand after propped frac jobs. The concept of combining thernpropellant into a sleeve form with the perforating gun isrnunique and this technology shows promise of solving many ofrnthe inherent perforating problems for which solutions havernbeen needed.rnGun perforating and well stimulation have beenrninseparably entwined from the beginning. Shaped chargesrnhave been established as the most efficient method ofrnobtaining communication between a cased borehole and thernformation of an oil or gas well.rnThe most significant problem encountered in high proppedrnfrac jobs has been the presence of fracture entry restrictionsrnarising from perforation friction, flow tortuosity and fracturernfriction. The combination perforating/propellant systems havernmet with encouraging results both as a perforation breakdownrnmethod, and as a tortuosityear-wellbore damage stimulationrnmethod before a propped frac operation.rnThe industry will employ these excellent technologies tornimprove the prospects of locating new reservoirs and then tornenhance the capabilities to produce them most efficiently. Thisrnpaper will address differents topics and field applications inrnMexico and worldwide of the innovative technologyrndescribed.
