Thermal Environment of Chinese Adobe Buildings with Rammed Earth Walls in Summer and Winter

摘要

Field measurements of the indoor thermal environment of a typical Chinese adobe buildings located in Shaanxi Province of China were conducted in summer and winter. The aim of the field measurements is to evaluate accurately the indoor thermal environment and its ecological properties. In particular, the moisture conditioning effect of rammed earth walls on the indoor thermal environment is confirmed in this paper.
