A low energy prototype y-Tomograph

This paper describes the design and construction of a low energy γ-tomograph and discusses some of its advantages and disadvantages. This diagnostic instrument, which ultimately will be used for dense flow imaging in pneumatic conveying systems, has only been tested using phantoms. Image re-construction algorithms have been applied to the data to produce rudimentary images. In the course of this work, the system developed a fault in one of its thirty detectors and this produced some interesting images.
