Abstract: The random noise of turbulent atmosphere cause the serious image quality degradation of video images, the cutoff frequency of result is very low when video images were added to improve the SNR. This phenomenon is very obvious especially in astronomical video imaging. A new point of view speckle image that is neither the maximum value point not the centroid was found. A new image reconstruction method which based on this point was developed. It is a kind of iterative shift-and-add method (ISA). The initial value of this method can be the result of traditional shift-and- add method or the result of speckle interferometry (autocorrelation) and so on. The clean method is used as the deconvolution method of ISA. The diffraction-limited resolution reconstructed results of series video images through turbulent atmosphere show that this method has a high signal-to-noise ratio and wide dynamic range. At last the equipment that we used to detect and save the dim images is introduced and some high resolution results of video images are given.!13
