the paper analyze the principle of operation and merits and drawbacks of voltage-switch and current-switch, and put forward a fault handling method based on intelligent switches to deal with differences between main line and branch line. This plan fits together two type switch into new-style feeder automation system by the line circs. It is a new-style feeder automation practical plan, and adopt non-channel participate in distributed fault site treatment, and achieve site treatment to phase-to-phase short circuit and Single-phase Earth-fault. The plan is be prone to put in practice due to its simple structure, and the high reliability.
