The movement of the links which is compound a mechanism could have a nonuniform behavior. This movement can damage the work of the mechanism. The variation of speed determines supplementary dynamic forces, which overload the links, lower the efficiency and also reduce the safety of work. The fluctuation of speed increases if a variation of driving moment occurs, like in spring operating mechanisms. A method to reduce the fluctuation of movement is to add a flywheel on the driving shaft. In this case the main problem is to determine the moment of inertia of the flywheel which assures an imposed degree of nonuniformity. In this paper is proposed a method for minimization of the variation of driven link movement. This method determines mass of the links and driving moment, which assures an imposed uniformity. This method will be applied to operating mechanism of the middle voltage circuit breaker with self-compression.
