Evaluating Information Technology: A Consequential Model for Executives

摘要

The purpose of this paper is to explore an alternative approach for assessment of information Technology (IT) business value. The proposed approach is to model all consequences of strategic IT investment decisions and translate them into business consequences relevant to executive decision makers. Once identified, these consequences are examined for significance in light of key business imperatives of executives. This provides a framework for top management to understand variables in the complex IT mix.
