摘要

Manufacturing dry fiber preforms for high performance composite parts undergoes a change to arnhigher level of automation. Driving factors of this development are the need for cost and materialrnefficient production and high reproducibility of automated processes. To assure and to track thernquality for the final part;;automated quality inspections of preform elements are necessary alongrnthe process chain.rnTypically;;a fiber preform process chain consists of independent manufacturing units. To use thernfull potential of automation;;all units must be linked by a superior process controller (SCADA).rnFor this reason;;Eurocopter Deutschland and iSAM AG jointly developed a SCADA controller,rnthat manages the interacting of the manufacturing units and optimizes the overall process time byrnarranging the manufacturing sequence. Furthermore;;it automatically generates all machinernprograms;;arranged for minimal waste;;and ensures via data consistency a central collection of allrnquality data.
