Volatile organic components (VOCs) are released during practically every production process. However their potential for polluting the environment varies to a great degree. This depends not only on composition but also on concentration, total quantity and even on the place where the volatile organic components are emitted. A brewery will have less problems in a sparsely populated area than in a region with dense population.
