Tube waves in producing wells with tubing andcasing

Tube waves propagating in producing oil and gas wells are useful for locating fluidinterfaces [1], estimating bottomhole pressures [1], investigation of properties of fluids insidethe boreholes as well as that of surrounding formations. We consider tube-wave propagationin different models of oil and gas producers using numerical finite-difference modeling.Whenever possible results of the numerical modeling are also compared with solutionsobtained analytically.
