Nile Delta Reservoir Case Study Using a Novel Broad Band Pre–Stack Seismic Inversion to Rock Properties Technique

Exploration for hydrocarbons within a concession located onshore in the Nile Delta, Egypt has been ongoing for several years, however so far has not afforded any significant discoveries. A pre-stack seismic inversion to rock properties procedure, using a novel technique to provide broad bandwidth, has provided increased understanding of the lithology and highlighted potential reservoir targets.
