摘要

Protection of groundwater from contamination is an important issue to ensure public health and safety as well as to maintain positive public opinion of nuclear industry. This protection starts at the source of potential sources for contamination. One potential source for spreading contamination is leakage from pools where contaminated water is continuously or temporarily stored. Repairing or preventing leaks from such pools can eliminate at least one possible source for groundwater contamination.
