Analysis of Dismantling Activities of Rotary Kiln for Benchmark Tests

The agreement for cooperation in the field of peaceful uses of nuclear energy between Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA) and Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI) was signed in 2008. The agreement was included the field of Dismantling and Decommissioning (D&D). Technical information exchange meetings concerning the field of D&D have been conducted under the agreement every year. Each organization has uranium conversion facilities (CF). JAEA has the Uranium Refining & Conversion Plant (URCP). KAERI has the Uranium Conversion Plant (UCP). These CFs have been under decommissioning after their missions completed. Each organization has been developing decommissioning engineering systems to develop effective decommissioning plans and to implement dismantling activities effectively. JAEA has Decommissioning Engineering System for Nuclear Facilities (DENESYS). KAERI has Decommissioning Engineering System (DES).
