摘要

This paper presents the development of the PEC31750,a peripheral controller for the MA31750 processor.Both chips together form a general-purpose microcontroller system core for embedded space applications on-board spacecraft,and are manufactured in rad-hard technology(CMOS-SOS).The PEC31750 has been developed as an pplication-specific standard product(ASSP) to be made available directly from the silicon foundry.The PRENDA top-down design methodology and VHDL have played an important role in the development of the PEC31750 and the microcontroller system,from hardware0software covalidation at system level down to the detailed design of the ASIC.The PEC31750 functionality and development programme,together with lessons learnt during the development are described.
