In this study, the resistance of self-assembledmonolayers (SAMs) of PEGylated alkanethiolateswith two different PEG chain lengths on gold tounspecific protein adsorption was investigated bySPR. Furthermore, the development of thesemonolayers was analyzed by Atomic ForceMicroscopy (AFM). After four days, a dense film wasformed and clearly reduced BSA adsorption.
