摘要

Nowadays, the scale of data ( normally stored in a database ) collected by DAS or DCS in a power plant is becoming larger and larger. However there are plentiful and valuable knowledge hidden behind them. It will be beyond people's capacity when artificially analyzing and understanding these data stored in such a scale database, so the techniques of knowledge discovery and data mining are arising at the historic moment. In this paper, we explained the basic concept and general knowledge of knowledge discovery in database and data mining, analyze the characteristics and research method of knowledge discovery in database and data mining. Finally, we gave some typical applications of knowledge discovery in database and data mining system based on power plant real-time database on Intranet.
