摘要

The semi experiential methods of boiler furnace thermal calculation have been reviewed. It deems that there are versatile ways in clarification and explanation of dirtiness factor (ζ), depending on the feature of coal burned, the combustion facility applied and the furnace dimension or size. It should be to determine ζ circumspectly in cases of carrying on a thermal calculation of modern large boiler furnace based on the "Standard Method" developed in 1970's. In this paper some check back thermal calculations have been made for boilers of 600MW and even 900MW based on the operation data, respectively. A new value of ζ is quantified accordingly against popular Chinese coals while the similar calculation for large modern boilers to be taken into consideration.
