4000 MTPD Orea Proven Single Line Generation Plants: Saipem's Springboard for 'Jumbo', i.e. 5000+, Ammonia Orea Complexes

In keeping with developments seen across sectors, the world nitrogenous fertiliser industry has consistently seen efforts at minimising the capital cost per ton of production capacity. This need has been accelerated by the continuous and inevitable increase in feedstock prices. Ever larger single line capacities have become the imperative for the decade. This paper presents the largest single line fertiliser complexes (≥ 2,200 MTPD ammonia and ≥3,850 urea) recently and successfully put in operation by Saipem as the benchmark of choice for future plants. This extensive and unique experience is today the preferred point of reference for the future complexes and is the basis of the Single Line 5,000+ MTPD Snamprogetti™ Urea Technology plant which has been completely defined in the process and engineering details through verification of market availability of all the itemized and bulk component.
