In order to simulate discontinuum mechanics of asphalt pavement, a newrnnumerical scheme—Meshfree Manifold Method is deduced by integrating NumericalrnManifold Method and Mesh-free Method. It is not only appropriate for contactrncomputation but also can eliminate the limitation of regular mesh method.rnMeanwhile, two useful element models were provided, kernel principles linkage ofrnasphalt mastic and searching for support nodes were discussed. An example wasrngiven to show its efficiency in simulating discontinuous deformation of asphaltrnmixture. This method is promising in solving fracture or large deformationrnproblems.
