Contributions of subgrains and particles to the creep strength of tempered martensite ferritic steels are investigated. An as-received state of P91 steel was subjected to additional thermo-mechanical treatments in which the subgrain and particle structure was changed. The creep strength of resulting microstructures was tested at reference conditios T chemical bounds 650 deg C and #sigma# _R chemical bounds 150 MPa.
