摘要

Current drain from the subsea CP system to wells has been investigated for two different fields in the North Sea, using a boundary element modeling technique. The study comprises the effect of various parameters such as interference between wells, soil resistivity, casing resistivity, boundary conditions and the lifetime of the CP design. The results show that the calculated current drain agrees well with short time field experience, but that the current drain is considerably reduced with time.
