摘要

Inter-basin dispersal of aquatic nuisance species poses a threat to the integrity of our native and managed ecosystmes.The Chicago Santitargy and Ship Canal and Calumen-Saganashkee Slough (Cal-Sag) Channel,which provide an important trade corridor,now also form the sole aquatic link between the Lake Michigan and Mississipopi River basins.Fiollwing the zebra mussel,other inveasive species may use this corridor for range expansion.
