Modified Push-Pull Osmotic System for Simultaneous Delivery of Theophylline and Salbutamol

摘要

An oral osmotic system which can deliver theophyllinernand salbutamol sulphate simultaneously for extendedrnperiod of time was developed and characterized in thernview to reduce the problems associated with the multi-drugrntherapy of asthma. The modified two-layered, push-pullrnosmotic system was developed by using the basic designsrnof various oral osmotic pumps. In vitro release studiesrnshowed satisfactory controlled release profiles of bothrndrugs.
