PRIVACY AND SECURITY ISSUES IN CLOUD COMPUTING

Cloud computing is a double-edged sword from the privacy and security standpoints.rnDespite its potential to provide a low cost security, organizations may increase risks byrnstoring sensitive data in the cloud. In this paper, we analyze how the cloud’srncharacteristics such as newness, nature of the architecture, and attractiveness andrnvulnerability as a cybercrime target are tightly linked to privacy and security. We alsorninvestigate how the contexts provided by formal and informal institutions affect privacyrnand security issues in the cloud.
