This "first principles " methodology enables the direct "in situ " measurement and calculation of the wind tunnel drag effects acting upon the engine and it's support structure, that are necessary to derive the aerodynamic thrust correction for an indoor test facility, and thus, eliminate the need for outdoor "free field" testing.
