摘要

AA6061 aluminium alloy powder and nano-sized alumina powder were mechanically alloyed by means of ball milling, followed by hot isostatic pressing and extrusion. Investigations of the microstructure revealed uniform dispersion of the reinforcements to an agglomeration size smaller than 800 nm. Mechanical properties were determined by static tensile tests. The influence of the mechanical activation and the nano-sized reinforcements upon the aging characteristics was investigated by DSC.
