UV Light Resistance of Biocides for PVC/Wood Fiber Composites

摘要

Several fungi and bacteria known to ingest cellulose were used to determine the effects of UV light on microbial resistance of wood fiber treated with commonly used biocides. Inter-microbial effects were explored as well as the possibility of blocking microbial attack by inhibiting availability of water through use of a strongly hydrophobic coating.
