Based on this study, the RPVC profile produced with a Ca/Zn solid stabilizer known as Baeropan MC 9474 FP has weatherability performance that is equivalent or superior than profiles produced with a tin mercaptide stabilizer system. In addition, using 33% less TiO_2 with this Ca/Zn stabilizer system resulted in weatherability performance that is similar and in some cases better than the tin stabilized control. This conclusion is based on the artificial weathering results in Series Ⅰ and the actual weathering results obtained over a period of 18 months in Series Ⅱ.
