Velocity Monitoring in Baghouses

摘要

A low cost thermal velocity sensor has been adapted for continuous, long term, remote monitoring of very low gas velocities (down to 10 feet per minute) in a baghouse filtering the effluent of a combustion process. After the combustion process and before the baghouse a lime slurry "dry scrubber" for sulfur dioxide emission control was used. Thus the measurement environment included very high humidity and high carbon, alkaline dust.
