摘要

Sedimentary layers under the seabed remain undisturbed by erosion from which it is expected to discover records of past climate changes, a history of life and a long term crust transformation. It may also be possible to drill down to the place where several huge earthquakes have occurred. Furthermore, the crust at the sea floor is thin to arrow shortest access to the mantle which is considered to have taken an important role for earth environment changes. Future technical breakthroughs will bring about the possibility of reaching to the mantle.
