摘要

A numerical model for characterization and control of process-induced part warpage (deformation), and residual stresses in molded composite components with woven fiber mats was developed. The effects of thermo-mechanical and thermo-chemical responses of the material on the evolution of damage during resin transfer molding process are quantified. Experimental case studies utilizing epoxy resin with eight harness graphite fiber mats are used to verify the developed model.
