Un-cooled infrared focal plane array (UFPA) has been developed sufficiently and quietly improved in recent years and widely used in military, commercial and civil affairs. The performance of drive circuit influence on UFPA's characteristic directly. The drive circuits present pulse signals and power signals for UFPA. Based on the product of Sofradir 320*240 microbolometer detector array and the system schematic of infrared imaging system, the analysis and description of drive circuit is emphasized in this paper. In this design, the XC9500 series products are adapted. The XC9500 series CPLD, Xilinx product, are programmable devices. The fastest speed of pin-to-pin delay is up to 3.5ns, and the dissipation is very low because of the application of fast FLASH. The drive circuits have such virtues as high integrative degree, high precision, lower cost and simple layout. At last, the output timing sequence of drive circuit is presented, which indicate that the drive circuit is satisfied the miniaturized requirement and has well performance.
