摘要

The application of adaptive antennas to wireless communication has shown to offer wide range of benefits like increased coverage and spectral efficiency, elimination of co-channel and multipath interference etc. In this paper the use of adaptive antennas in reducing radiation hazards is discussed. The adaptive antenna at the handset constantly forms a broad towards the user head. The effect of R.F on human brain is analyzed by taking a simple model of head. The power absorbed and rise in temperature of various tissues of head is compared for omni directional as well as adaptive antenna. In determining the temperature rise the effect of blood flow and transfer of heat from tissue into space is taken into account.
