A New Scheme of WDM/TDM Passive Optical Networks Employing Wavelength-Dilated Multiple Wavelength Filters

We propose a novel passive optical network which can dynamic control fo transmission sequence at high speed and high crosstalk rejection. The experimental system using two wavelength dilated acousto-optic tunable filters has been demonstrated. The wavelength dilation, doubling the distance between channels, provides substantial improvement in both interchannel and intrachannel crosstalk at the condition of fast interchannel switching speed.
