From research to production : 10 years of success

摘要

New generations of InfraRed (IR) detectors are mature and well within the production stage at Sofradir. The two generations consist of Time Delay and Integration (TDI) long linear arrays (for 2nd generation systems) sensitive in the 8-12 μm waveband and large 2-D staring arrays (for 2nd or 3rd generation systems) sensitive in the 3-5 μm and 8-12 μm wavebands. Outstanding progress has been made in product development and production assessment during these last 10 years at Sofradir and the key points for technologies and products are presented as well as lessons learned. Then perspectives for future development and production are given.
