Holographic stereograms to visualize 3D computer models

A prototype for producing monochromatic holographic stereograms by the two-step method on silver halide film, has bene developed. Fundamental questions have been examined as "defocusing" effects by applying a set of synthesized "three-bar" test pattern. A visual examination of the pattern in a stereogram was compared to hteoretical calculations using OTF. Holographic diffusers. HOE, have been ade and evaluated for production of holographic stereograms. A compact temperature stabilized diode pumped 50 mW green laser is incorporated in the set-up.
