High-Performance Metallocene EPDM

Metallocene catalysis remains a very fertile field and because of its ability to incorporate various types of comonomers and dienes, more innovations of value to our customers will result. While Engage and Nordel IP are the only two commercial products at present, there are still many more possibilities from the advances discussed in this paper. DuPont Dow offers the capabilities of rapid design and scale up, bimodal composition carried to a new extreme and an expansion of the composition beyond what has traditionally been called EPDM hydrocarbon rubber. The advantages to customers of these new products include faster time to market, better processability, enhanced rubber properties and a broader range of EPDM applications.
