Under the 1990 Clean Air Act, the U.S. Environmental Agency is developing maximum achievable control technology (MACT) based standards for regulating emissions of hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) from "major" sources. The Industrial Gas Technology Commercialization Center's (Industrial Center) Air Toxic Compliance Consortium has commissioned a study to investigate, develop, and assemble technical inforamtion on the performance, emissions, and economics of the available and emerging technologies that could be applied to meet current and future MACT requirements for the 1994- and 1997-bin source categories.
